At First Class Movers, we maintain our commitment to professionalism and strive to meet your needs to the best of our abilities. While we work diligently to fulfill your requests during our service hours, we want to emphasize that certain tasks may involve inherent risks. Here are some key guidelines to ensure a smooth and secure moving experience:

1. Walk-Through and Payment:

Please ensure your presence or authorized personnel during the move process. A brief tour and explanation of your requirements upon arrival assist us in delivering optimal service. We collect payment once the job is complete. A “15-minute grace period” is granted for your convenience. Payment options include, but are not limited to; Cash, Cashapp ($FirstClassMoversCT), Venmo (@FirstClassMoversCT), Apple Pay (203-675-2149) or Zelle (203-675-2149). 

2. Loading/Unloading:

Protective materials for loading-only jobs (e.g., shrink wrap, moving blankets) must be provided by you. If we are only providing loading or unloading services, we are not responsible for any damages that may occur during transit. We are only responsible for items in our immediate care, custody and control. 

3. Damages and Claims: 

In the unfortunate event of damages, we are committed to addressing your concerns promptly. All damage claims must be submitted within 24 hours of the move date to support@firstclassmoversct.com. This timeframe ensures that claims are processed efficiently while the details are fresh in everyone’s minds. The final assessment of furniture condition rests with you, and any damage must be thoroughly documented with accompanying photos or videos. It’s important to note that withholding payment due to damage is considered illegal, and full payment is required. We approach claims with utmost professionalism and address them with the appropriate evidence, striving to maintain transparency and fairness in all proceedings. Your cooperation in adhering to the 24-hour timeframe greatly aids in resolving issues effectively.

4. Dresser Drawers:

For ease of handling, please empty heavily loaded drawers. You typically do not need to remove the drawers, just the contents within them. 

5. Last Minute Changes:

Additional service requests beyond the original order may lead to a rearrangement of obligations to accommodate other jobs.

6. Flat Screen TVs:

While we prioritize safe handling, extreme temperatures and bouncing may impact TVs. Physical evidence is necessary to consider damage claims after delivery.

7. Crew Safety:

Safety is paramount. We reserve the right to request crew changes or job cancellation in challenging work conditions. The team may also refuse service with good moral reason.

8. Safety of Belongings:

Let us handle your items to ensure proper care and packing. Preloading may disrupt our packing process.

9. Appliances:

We are not liable for damage to plumbing, electrical systems, or water damage related to washer/dryer connections. We ask you to take care of any disconnects or reconnecting of appliances. 

10. Weather Conditions:

Harsh weather may lead to move rescheduling without liability.

11. Crew Size:

We determine the number of movers based on job requirements, size, and availability.

12. Heavy and Oversized Items:

Moving heavy items may result in damage to steps and surfaces. You assume the risk of damage.

13. Piano Move:

We move pianos ground to ground floor. Photo verification is needed to confirm piano movement feasibility. Removal and reattachment of piano legs are at your risk.

14. Grandfather Clocks:

Pendulums, chimes, and weights are your responsibility to remove before the move.

 

15. Long Distance 

For long-distance moves, we exclusively offer top-notch moving labor services. While we don’t travel between states ourselves, we play a pivotal role in making your long-distance move seamless. We excel in assisting with crucial planning stages, including expert packing and secure loading of your belongings. Additionally, we’re here to help you find reliable assistance at your destination for unloading your belongings, ensuring that every step of your long-distance move is well-orchestrated and worry-free.
